Remote Desktop on your Android

teamviewerNeed to access your desktop, or laptop computer when it is not near by, or while you are at work?

Looking for a reliable Remote Desktop experience on your Android?  There are a handful of great apps in the market, and a couple of them are top notch, such as LogMeIn.  However, most of them, if not all, are not free apps.  Those that are free tend to be limited and not provide a user experience that you will find useful.  So what do I recommend?  How about one that isn’t available in the market…as of this writing.

I recommend TeamViewer.  This app is free to use for personal use on both your desktop, laptop and android phones.  If you wish to use it for professional reasons, you are expected to pay for it.

So why do I recommend this app?  It is, firstly, free.  That is a price you can generally not beat.  In the case of a quality product, it is VERY hard to beat.  TeamViewer for Android is in “beta”, and has been for a while now.  However, do not let that deter you as this is a very stable application.

What can it do?  It supports Dual Screen setups via menu option switching.  It allows you to access every aspect of your remote computer.  This includes accessing various applications, hardware and more.  The only downfall is no audio support.

I have been using TeamViewer on my laptop and desktop for over a year and a half now, and on my Droid for a couple of months.  I have done several things with it to see how effective this app is.  All I can say is this app is well worth the time to install it to your desktop and your android phone.
